Interim Global Benefits Consultant
12-18 months FTC
London/ Hybrid
£90,000 plus discretionary Bonus
Middlemore have partnered on a retained basis with a leading global private markets advisory firm, with offices across the UK, EU, US, and APAC. Their culture is built on excellence, collaboration, and integrity, and their people are at the heart of their success. We are working in partnership to appoint an Interim global benefits consultant to support over the next 12-18 months on the landscape of global benefits and the offering.
This is a newly created, high-impact role reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. It represents a rare opportunity to design and embed a best-in-class benefits offering globally. This is a meaty project that will be progressed over three stages.
* Phase1: Stabilise the offering and resolve compliance issues, align renewal dates, and build reliable processes.
* Phase 2: Embed the new operating model and introduce rigour to ongoing management of benefits.
* Phase 3: Develop and implement a longer-term strategy (e.g., benefits platform, flexible benefits, vendor strategy).
This is a standalone role so the successful candidate will need to work autonomously and hit the ground running. The role covers the UK, US, and APAC. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in at least two of the three regions, with the UK and US strongly preferred.
What are we looking for:
* We are seeking a Benefits subject matter expert.
* Candidates from combined Reward & Benefits or Payroll & Benefits backgrounds will also be considered, provided their experience is weighted towards benefits.
* Sector experience should be within financial services, ideally banking, though broader FS experience will be considered.
* Will need to have hands on experience and be willing to get sleeves rolled up
* The successful candidate must be confident managing third-party providers, interpreting complex policy nuances, and ensuring vendor accountability. This is a hands-on operational role, so we are not seeking a purely strategic profile.
