Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. You would be based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This is an office-based role, working office hours, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
While based at Winfrith, you may need to have the flexibility to travel to their premises in Ferndown. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role:
* To design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure that police officers, staff, and other members of the force meet the required knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors aligned with force priorities.
* This role focuses on delivering initial and various force training programs across defined geographic areas, including targeted training for specific groups. Posts are based across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, prepare annual training schedules, and design, develop, and deliver a variety of training packages, including initial and force training.
* All training posts are generic; therefore, there may be a need to deliver training across other areas as required.
* Design and deliver training sessions using written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing available technology and adopting innovative delivery methods where appropriate.
* Identify individual and organizational training needs through training needs analysis. Collaborate with management to assess skills and abilities of trainees against relevant standards.
Please note, due to Police criteria, you must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously. Less than this will not be considered.
