PV Engineer (Solar PV) Location: London & Home Counties Salary: £38,000£45,000 per annum (DOE) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview We are seeking an experienced PV Engineer to install, commission, service, and maintain Solar PV systems across residential and small commercial sites in London and the Home Counties. The successful candidate will be technically competent, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field. Key Responsibilities Install Solar PV systems including roof-mounted and ground-mounted arrays Carry out commissioning, testing, and system handovers Diagnose and repair faults on existing PV systems Perform planned and reactive maintenance visits Ensure all work complies with current regulations (BS 7671, MCS, DNO requirements) Complete electrical and installation documentation accurately Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and internal teams Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard Adhere to all health & safety procedures at all times Required Skills & Experience Proven experience installing and maintaining Solar PV systems Strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding ability Experience working on residential and/or small commercial projects Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good customer-facing communication skills Qualifications (Essential) Full UK Driving Licence Qualifications (Desirable) MCS Solar PV Installation Certification Experience with battery storage systems (e.g. Tesla, GivEnergy, SolarEdge) What We Offer Competitive salary of £38,000£45,000 Company vehicle, fuel card, and tools provided Overtime and call-out opportunities (where applicable) Ongoing training and career development Supportive and growing renewable energy business
