About the Role
Veritas Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a welcoming primary school based in Preston. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with identified SEND needs
* Adapt learning materials to suit individual requirements
* Support the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Monitor the pupil's progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
* Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs)
* A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
* A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
