Job Title: EC&I Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits
We are recruiting for an EC&I Engineer to join the central maintenance team of leading COMAH site based in West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex plant, electrical distribution, and control systems in a highly regulated environment, playing a key part in site safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
As an EC&I Engineer, your duties will include:
* Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
* Working on electrical distribution (415v 3-phase, 240v, 110v).
* Maintaining and fault-finding on PLC/DCS and hard-wired control systems.
* Proof testing of safety instrumented systems and critical alarms.
* Creating and updating EC&I drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
* Supporting commissioning and functional testing of control systems.
* Contributing to continuous improvement and training initiatives.
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, COMAH regulations and site procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Level 3 Electrical qualification and/or time-served apprenticeship.
* Training in BS7671 wiring regulations.
* Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations.
* IPAF certification (or willingness to complete).
* Strong PLC/DCS fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of BS60079, BS EN 61508 or BS EN 61511 (advantageous).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
