Overview
The Role: Working closely with all members of MDT and associated clerical staff, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring the timely and planned movement of cancer and suspected cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards. They will coordinate and monitor the investigation and treatment journey for urgent patients ensuring delays are pre-empted and resolved to enable the patients to receive treatment in line with national targets.

What we'll need you to bring
* HND Business Administration or equivalent experience
* Minimum 3 years administration experience within a hospital setting
* Proficient in use of Software systems
* Advanced keyboard skills
* Excellent Organisational and communication skills
* Track record of ability to prioritise and problem solve
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Desirable skills and qualifications
* Understanding of the importance of data quality
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Knowledge of cancer waiting times standards
* Proficient in the use of hospital systems including Trakcare
* Enthusiastic, innovative and flexible approach to work
* Ability to travel between hospital sites in Lanarkshire
Contract type
* Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months
* Full time, 37 hours
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Cancer Management - Acute and is NHS Lanarkshire wide. The working pattern for this role is To Be Confirmed (TBC).
