TXM are privileged to be working with a Market Leader who is currently recruiting a production manager based in Essex. We’re seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop their production operations, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across all processes.
The Role As Production Manager, you will take ownership of the production department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while implementing strategies to enhance performance, safety, and quality. You’ll work closely with planning, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure targets are achieved and customer expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Manage production planning and scheduling to meet demand forecasts and operational targets.
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, AS9100) and industry regulations.
Drive lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to achieve production goals and enhance overall performance.
Monitor KPIs to track output, efficiency, and quality – implementing improvements where needed.About You
Degree qualified in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in production or manufacturing management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven background in process optimisation, ERP/MRP implementation, or S&OP development.
Confident communicator and leader with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in engineering, rail, industrial, aviation, aerospace, or defence sectors is highly desirable.What’s in it for you
