Skills and experience Candidate must a have minimum 5 years experience as a Shima Seiki programmer with specific garment experience. Must understand the practical aspects of production-ready garments—including stitch types, yarn behaviour, and machine limitations. Must have experience with SVR AND SSR machines and Shima Apex programming/design systems. Fully experienced in shaping and grading garments, working to tech specifications and using templates/packs etc. Maintenance experience and trouble-shooting technical machine problems. Duties The successful candidate main duties will be to develop and test knitting programmes as per customer requests. TNA Knitwear largely supply to fast fashion online retailers, so the successful candidate will be expected to develop programmes with an appreciation of the knitting time. Also must be able to develop and test patterns at a suitable speed in order to achieve tight deadlines. Successful candidate will also be expected to help support and train junior programmers.
