Overview
An exciting opportunity to join the team to represent the business in providing user support on the implementation, take-up and future evolutions of Electronic Computer Aided Engineering Tools. The Lead Support role for Electronic Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools involves overseeing the business operational support, technical specialism and maintenance of ECAD software used in both electronic & electrical design. This role encompasses guiding a team, resolving technical issues, ensuring quality, and contributing to the overall efficiency of CAD-related processes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee business operational support, technical specialism and maintenance of ECAD software used in electronic and electrical design.
* Guide and support a team, resolve technical issues, ensure quality, and contribute to the efficiency of CAD-related processes.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align ECAD tool usage with engineering design needs and roadmaps.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Electronic or Electrical CAD Software: Strong expertise in Electronic PCB / Schematics design CAD software, or similar tools used for electrical interconnects design.
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and the application of best practices.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to trouble-shoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions within a team.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with users, stakeholders, and management.
* Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to guide and support a team, provide training, and foster a collaborative environment.
* Project Management: Understanding of project management principles and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
What We Offer
* Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
* Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site
* Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship; BPSS checks after offer stage
* Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance)
