CNC Miller / Turner in Bradford. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can work independently, read engineering drawings, and take responsibility for the quality of their own work.
Job Title: CNC Miller / Turner (Programmer / Setter / Operator)
Salary: £17.00per hour to £20.00 D.O.E
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16.30 Friday 08.00 – 15.30
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set, and operate CNC milling and turning machines
* Work with Siemens or Fanuc control systems (Doosan VMC)
* Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Ensure all machined components meet quality standards and tolerances
* Perform machine set-ups, tool changes, and program adjustments where required
* Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
* Maintain a safe and organised working environment
* Work with a variety of materials including plastics, aluminium, and stainless steel
Essential Skills & Experience
* Time-served CNC Miller / Turner
* Experience with Siemens or Fanuc CNC controls
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC machines
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Experience machining a range of materials including plastics, aluminium, and stainless steel
Desirable Skills
* Experience with offline programming using Edgecam
* Previous experience working on Doosan VMC machines
