Reception/Administration Staff – Emergency Services
The successful candidate will need to be a highly motivated, flexible team player who shows careful attention to detail and provides patients with a high quality service.
* Part Time: 27 hours a week (night receptionist)
* Shift pattern: 11.5‑hour shifts 22–08 on a rolling rota (4 on, 8 off) but can be changed to meet the demands of the service. Includes weekdays, weekends, nights and Bank Holidays. Flexibility to work all shifts 20–08.
Responsibilities
* Patient registration on our Cerner IT program (full training will be given).
* Admissions and discharges.
* Scanning and appointment booking.
* First point of contact for patients, visitors and other health‑care professionals – receive them in a professional and courteous manner.
* Work as part of a team supporting the Emergency Services, predominantly based in the Emergency Department but with flexibility for other areas within Emergency Services.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record working within administration, front‑line and customer service.
* Excellent IT skills – capable of working with Cerner and other administrative software.
* Sound overall administration & IT skills with a positive, enthusiastic approach and excellent customer‑service skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
* Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential.
Successful candidates need to hold NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent experience in a similar role. Candidates will have a proven track record working within Administration, front line and have experience in customer service. It is important to have the ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
