Locality Officer
Overview
* Responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service across a defined locality
* Supporting customers across mixed tenure homes
* Helping to keep neighbourhoods safe, well managed and inclusive
* Working closely with customers, colleagues and partner agencies
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload including:
* Anti-social behaviour
* Tenancy and lease management
* Neighbourhood issues
* Safeguarding concerns
* Fraud and tenancy breaches
* Deliver a visible and proactive housing management service
* Resolve customer issues in a timely and practical way
* Carry out regular neighbourhood and property inspections
* Work with customers to improve homes and communities
* Ensure landlord responsibilities are met in line with policies and legislation
* Maintain accurate records and customer data
* Support health and safety and compliance requirements
* Work with internal teams to deliver local services
* Build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies
* Support initiatives that improve communities and customer satisfaction
Skills and Experience
* Experience in housing management or a similar role
* Good knowledge of tenancy and neighbourhood management
* Experience handling anti-social behaviour cases
* Strong customer service skills
* Ability to manage a busy and complex workload
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work with partner agencies and stakeholders
* Good IT and record-keeping skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
