You will work as part of a collaborative and experienced estimating team, preparing competitive tenders for a wide range of roads, sewers, drainage, and groundworks packages on major housing developments.
Groundworks Estimator Salary & Benefits
Salary: £35,000-£65,000 depending on experience

Groundworks Estimator Job Overview
Reviewing tender drawings, specifications, and ground investigation reports
Conducting take-offs and building estimates using 2D/3D software
Pricing works including adoptable highways (S278/S38), sewers (S104), earthworks and substructures
Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations
Liaising with operational teams and Contracts Managers to validate outputs and build-ups
Preparing Bills of Quantities and adjudication documentation for internal review
Groundworks Estimator Job Requirements
Looking for either 2+ years' experience up to a more accomplished Estimator
Experience estimating civils or groundworks packages for residential or infrastructure projects
Good understanding of housing infrastructure, including adoptable works, drainage, and substructure
Experience with Roads & Sewers, Groundworks, S.278 works, etc.
Strong take-off and measurement skills
Ability to build rates from first principles
Working knowledge of estimating software (e.g. Causeway, ConQuest) and confident use of Excel
