South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) is embarking on an ambitious Digital Transformation Programme — and we’re looking for a dedicated Tester to ensure our new digital tools, including a transformative CRM system, are robust, reliable, and ready to deliver real impact.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tester here at SYMCA, you’ll be at the heart of our digital evolution, leading the testing lifecycle across a suite of platforms including CRM, SharePoint, Windows 11, and Copilot. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions meet business needs, are user-friendly, and perform flawlessly.
* Leading end-to-end testing activities — from planning and execution to defect management.
* Translating business requirements into effective test conditions.
* Coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with internal stakeholders.
* Ensuring usability, accessibility, and security are built into every solution.
* Driving continuous improvement in testing practices and tools.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience in software testing across diverse platforms (Essential).
* Hands-on experience with CRM systems — ideally Microsoft Dynamics (Essential).
* Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or TestRail (Essential).
* Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies (Essential).
* ISTQB or equivalent certification (Essential).
* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
* Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
* Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium or Postman.
* Exposure to integration testing across platforms like Office 365 and SharePoint.
