The Role
As a Civil Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of highways and drainage schemes for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Working within an experienced and supportive team, you'll contribute to projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities of this civil infrastructure engineer role include:
* Design of highways in accordance with relevant standards (e.g. Section 38, Section 278)
* Preparation of drainage strategies and detailed drainage design (including SuDS)
* Production of technical drawings, specifications, and design calculations
* Liaising with local authorities, statutory consultees, and clients
* Supporting planning applications and technical approvals
* Attending project and client meetings
About You:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Experience in highways and drainage design within a consultancy environment
* Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage)
* Working knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Progressing towards or already achieved professional chartership (ICE or similar) desirable
