Our Business Planning team delivers the Screwfix Growth Plan, and this role is central to making it happen.

As a Business Planning Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of strategically important, cross-functional projects that enhance our customer and colleague proposition. Working across stores, digital, operations, and technology, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to shape, mobilise, and deliver initiatives that make a real commercial difference.

This is a high-visibility role offering real breadth and exposure across the business. Working closely with senior leaders and Board-level stakeholders, you’ll bring structure, pace, and clarity to complex initiatives, ensuring they land successfully and create lasting impact.

Responsibilities

11. Work with the Sponsors & Leads to identify, define, evaluate, plan, track and realisethe business benefits of projects.
12. Takes a lead on making change projects happen, ensuring that they are delivered totime, cost and quality.
13. Develop a project scope and manage the delivery of business initiatives/change.
14. Create project plan with business stakeholders in accordance with plan templateand structure.
15. Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
16. Proactively look to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
17. Support with all project governance activity where required.
18. Ensure the effective governance of projects.
19. Influence systems and documentation to support the effective organisation of theproject/ programme.
20. Understand business change of project and ensure business is ready to embed thechange.

Qualifications

21. Ability to influence without positional power
22. Strong interpersonal with experience of communicating and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels
23. Project Management skills and knowledge of principles
24. Understanding of business processes
25. Ability to support stakeholders through change
26. Ability to prioritise others and their own workload – delivery focused
27. Flexible in being able to adapt to changing business requirements
28. Lead project meetings and workshops to drive delivery
29. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project or other PM tools.
