EduTalent are currently supporting a friendly and welcoming primary school in Hailsham who are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full-time position until the end of the academic year, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive school environment.
The Role
* Provide classroom support in Year 3 during the morning and Year 5 in the afternoon.
* Deliver small group interventions and 1:1 support where required
* Support pupils with high levels of SEN and behavioural needs
* Work closely with the class teachers and SENCo to support pupil progress
* Assist with classroom preparation and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Supervise pupils during mid-day meals
Working Hours: 8:45am – 3:15pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Requirements
1. Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally KS2
2. Experience supporting pupils with SEN and behaviour needs
3. Calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
5. Must be a driver due to the school’s location
6. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

Requirements
Essential: Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH and/or ASD A caring, resilient, and patient approach Ability to work shifts between 7am–11pm on a rota basis Strong communication and teamwork skills Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities Desirable: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Knowledge of PACE, PBS, PRICE, or trauma-informed care Experience in residential childcare or specialist education settings Qualification Pathway: Candidates without a Level 3 will be enrolled onto the qualification following successful completion of a 6-month probation period with the client.
