Training Manager Security Occasional International Travel The Opportunity The growth of my clients Border Security division, with both UK and international clients, has resulted in the need for a newly created, permanent, full-time Training Manager. It will be based in their UK offices near Northampton. As a part of the team dedicated to providing training, the Training Manager will work closely with customers to identify and support their training needs, while providing training at various customer locations both in the UK and abroad. The successful candidate should hold a valid passport and be prepared to travel. The position is customer-facing and requires a focus on providing excellent tailored training to a wide range of customers. The area of training is not highly technical or software related, it is a more practical and hands on how to, with guidance on setting up a mobile unit or fixed position involving CCTV, handheld biometric devices and identity scanners. It could be at a border or a specific location that needs protection, such as a piece of critical infrastructure. There is potential for some flexibility on salary dependent on experience. Duties to include: Develop training course programmes Prepare training course materials Conduct end-user training in the UK and abroad Create and update product manuals & user guides Support the Product Manager Border Security Short-term international travel (usually lasting 1-2 weeks, with the possibility of up to 3 weeks at a time) Required/Essential Skills/Experience Attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral Ability to work independently, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines under pressure Confident to speak and present in front of groups Passport (ability to obtain) UK driving license Desirable Skills & Experience Previous experience working with the military/government/police/security industry Creating product written materials, including program and user guides Employment Benefits 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), increasing to 38 days Family travel insurance 4% employer pension Employee share scheme Company Culture Statement As a valued member of staff, you will receive a competitive salary with great working conditions amongst a friendly team.
