If so, we have a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager working from our retail store in Driffield and covering East Yorkshire.
This is a full-time, field-based role that involves managing existing accounts, gaining new business, and providing on-farm support for feed, fertiliser, and other agricultural supplies. Previous sales experience in the sector and good knowledge of the territory are essential.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing sales in line with set targets across our product and service portfolio
2. Understanding and promoting the company's range of products and services
3. Collaborating with colleagues across the Mole Valley Farmers Group
4. Participating in business review meetings and training sessions
5. Serving existing clients and acquiring new accounts
Candidate requirements:
1. Successful sales experience within the agricultural sector, with a motivation to meet and exceed targets
2. Good understanding of agriculture and empathy with farming communities
3. Financial acumen, experience in structuring deals, using finance tools, and closing high-value sales
4. Interest in current and future precision technologies; farm management experience is a plus
5. Well-organized, self-motivated, and capable of thorough territory coverage
6. Proficient in IT, familiar with sales systems, and experienced with Microsoft Office
