Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

We are seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Portsmouth CAMHS team within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The role offers a varied and engaging clinical portfolio, with a genuinely manageable workload, strong peer support, and well-established working relationships across partner agencies.
You will play an active leadership role within the team and have opportunities to contribute to service development, teaching, supervision and wider system working.
Responsibilities
* Provide senior medical leadership within the Portsmouth CAMHS team.
* Deliver high-quality assessment and treatment to children, young people and families.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and partner agencies.
* Contribute to clinical governance, teaching and service development.

Qualifications
* Recognised basic Medical Degree
* MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
* Full GMC Registration
* Eligible for inclusion on the Specialist register or CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview
* Recognised training in child and adolescent psychiatry for at least 3 years as per the RCPsych CAP curriculum 2022
* Recognised and approved Educational & Clinical Supervisor
