Sales Manager - South West role at ha
Location: Home and field-based role. Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
Responsibilities
* Report to the UK Sales Manager.
* As a Sales Representative for the South West of England, visit farms and be responsible for sales in the area.
* Sell dairy equipment directly to farmers and the dealer distributor network.
* Develop new customer acquisition.
* Work through the whole sales process from lead generation through to closing the sale.
* Pursue new sales leads from the dealer network, trade shows, customer referrals and market influencers such as farm consultants, vets and buying groups.
* Keep up-to-date on developments in the dairy sector and the milking equipment market.
* Be responsible for the revenue in the area and the development of market penetration.
* Co-operate with other internal departments such as Marketing and Technical Service teams.
* Plan working time and sales trips and record daily information from appointments into the CRM system.
* Work towards clearly defined performance measurements and sales targets.
* Report on the sales pipeline of leads and prospects weekly and monthly.
* Participate in sales team conferences and training sessions.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications
* Living within Devon or Cornwall.
* Agricultural or farming sales experience.
* Successful track record selling to dairy farmers (ideally).
* Driven and motivated.
* Confident self-starter.
* IT literate.
* Willing to travel regularly from home, including some overnight stays.
Salary and Benefits
* £30,000 - £35,000 basic salary per year.
* Uncapped commission, realistic OTE up to 50K per year.
