Senior Account Manager – Local Government
💼 Large MSP | 🏠 Remote (with travel to customer & vendor sites)
We’re working with a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) looking to hire a Senior Account Manager to join their well-established Go-To-Market (GTM) team, focused on the Local Government sector.
£60,000 to £70,000 plus double OTE and car allowance
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of up to 10 key spending local government accounts, nurturing relationships, driving growth, and delivering best-in-class IT solutions that help transform public services.
The Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key local government clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
* Identify new opportunities within existing accounts across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and managed services.
* Build strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across both customers and vendor partners.
* Collaborate closely with pre-sales, delivery, and marketing teams to design and deliver tailored solutions.
* Drive revenue growth in line with agreed GP and margin targets.
* Stay up to date with public sector frameworks, procurement processes, and market trends.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has proven experience in account management or sales within an MSP, VAR, or IT solutions provider.
* Understands local government or wider public sector accounts and procurement models.
* Is commercially minded with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
* Builds strong, trusted relationships with customers and partners alike.
* Is confident managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts.
* Is self-motivated and comfortable working remotely, with the flexibility to travel to customer and vendor sites when required.
