Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our friendly team in Bristol.

Responsibilities
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults using schematics and technical manuals.
* Operate and programme programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise machine performance.
* Perform welding, electrical repairs, and mechanical adjustments as required.
* Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals accurately.
* Supervise junior team members during maintenance tasks, providing guidance and support.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance operations.
* Assist in the planning and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
* Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from production teams.
Experience
* Proven experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and pneumatic controls.
* Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and reading schematics.
* Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certification preferred.
* Demonstrated electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical faults.
* Leadership or supervising experience is desirable, with the ability to oversee team activities effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Prior experience in customer service or liaising with other departments is advantageous. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while demonstrating leadership qualities to support team development.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
