Academics is seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate SEN Teacher to support SEN and mainstream schools across Skipton. The Role - SEN Teacher (SEMH/ADHD Specialist)
As an SEN Teacher with Academics, you will:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and ADHD
* Implement behaviour strategies that promote regulation, engagement, and positive outcomes
* Create a structured, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment
* Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies
* Support pupils on EHCPs, ensuring targets are met through personalised approaches
* Build strong, trusting relationships that foster emotional resilience and self-confidence
* Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and barriers
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH and ADHD
* Strong behaviour management skills rooted in understanding and consistency
* A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
