About The Role
Worldwide Flight Services are seeking a dedicated and reliable Airside Driver to join their Airside Transport team. As an Airside Driver, you will play a crucial role for transporting freight between warehouses and the aircrafts, safely, securely and on time. You will also be responsible for meeting customer requirements and following all security and safety regulations whilst working in a time sensitive environment, dealing with multiple customers and meeting deadlines in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
1. Driving company and contracted vehicles to transport cargo between locations as required and within legal compliance.
2. Loading and unloading cargo received for import and export.
3. Delivery of mail and courier bags including heavy lifting of bags and loose bulk.
4. Keeping company and contracted vehicles clean and tidy, reporting any mechanical problems.
5. Diligently completing breakdown reports where required.
6. Following company processes and procedures to always maintain security and health and safety compliance.
About You
Essential Criteria:
7. Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
8. Numeracy skills to assess and interpret volumes, weight and calculations accurately.
9. Valid driver’s licence and LGV2 licence, demonstrating the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
10. Experience driving LGV2 vehicles for a minimum of 5 years.
11. No more than 3 points on your license.
12. Proficiency in manual handling of heavy goods, showcasing physical strength and capability to lift and move items as required.
13. Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as our business operates 24/7 to meet customer demand and deadlines.
