Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for the Economic Crime Unit, providing comprehensive administrative support across departments including the Financial Investigation Unit, Economic Crime Investigation Unit, Volume Fraud Investigation Team, Financial Development Unit, and Cyber Crime Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Scan and collate financial material for input into spreadsheets supporting financial investigations. Facilitate payments to recipients as required. Maintain the force's financial spreadsheet in conjunction with Corporate Finance.
2. Conduct Experian/Land Registry checks for the unit and force. Manage new account user requests and reset accounts as necessary. Support the Duty Financial Investigator with administrative checks.
3. Maintain the Economic Crime Unit intranet page, liaising with Corporate Communications as needed.
4. Provide the monthly cash seizure financial spreadsheet to officers attending the Southampton Magistrates Court.
5. Prepare Forfeiture Letters for case files on the Record Management System for onward progression to the Crown Prosecution Service via the Criminal Justice IT link.
6. Administer and prepare files for archiving in compliance with the Management Of Police Information standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Educated to QCF Level 2 (including passes in English and Maths) or equivalent work experience.
* ITQ qualification.
* Proven organisational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team.
