Changeworks is seeking a Technical Consultant to support our home retrofit assessment, modelling, and strategy services. The role offers flexibility to contribute to our broader portfolio as it evolves.
As a Consultant, you will lead and contribute to high-quality, innovative projects that support our goal of decarbonising Scottish homes and achieving a just transition to net zero.
You will work closely with Principal and Senior Consultants to identify opportunities for impact-focused, income-generating projects, services, and contracts. Your responsibilities include business development, client prospecting, tender and bid writing, and project management to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
You will also contribute to shaping sector policy and practice through thought leadership, public engagement, and cross-sector collaboration.
About the Consultancy Team
Our team provides analytical and advisory services to clients such as local authorities, housing associations, the Scottish Government, and organizations across sectors. We work on decarbonising Scotland’s homes through energy efficiency, low-carbon heat, renewable energy, fuel poverty, and behavior change initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a motivated professional with strengths in:
* Strategic insight into Scottish and UK policy and regulation related to decarbonisation
* Technical expertise in home retrofit, energy efficiency, low-carbon heating, and energy modelling tools like PhPP
* Project delivery and management experience
* Business development skills including client relationship building and bid writing
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
We welcome applicants with expertise in these areas and a willingness to develop others. Depending on experience, the role may be offered at the Senior Researcher level with potential to advance to Consultant.
