Job Description:
The General Service Technician role is full or part-time, hourly, based on business needs. Responsibilities include performing vehicle repair and maintenance services per company standards and manufacturer specifications, delivering exceptional customer service, and effectively communicating vehicle issues and solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately according to Monro standards.
2. Conduct tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, changing, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, basic maintenance, and battery testing/installation.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
5. Assist with inventory management by pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
6. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure guest-ready conditions.
7. Follow safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
8. Test drive vehicles following company policies and safety laws.
9. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
10. Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training.
11. Operate and maintain equipment safely per guidelines.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Profile Summary:
* Proactive in problem-solving and decision-making.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical issues and writing reports.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Automotive training or equivalent experience.
* Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
* Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
