The Fundraising Manager is a key role at Beechwood Cancer Care. Our well-established charity has successfully raised funds from a wide range of sources for over 35 years, providing reliable and compassionate support to local people and their families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

At a time when statutory funding is reducing, we are taking a considered approach to how our fundraising income must evolve to ensure our services remain sustainable for the long term.

We are seeking a proactive, motivated, highly organised and creative fundraiser who can build on our established income streams while developing new opportunities for growth. The postholder will devise and deliver the fundraising and social media strategy and be responsible for meeting agreed income targets across campaigns, corporate fundraising and sponsorship, community fundraising and events.

The Fundraising Manager will personally lead our flagship events and manage a dedicated team of volunteers and third-party fundraisers to deliver their own activities. They will review existing income streams and assess the potential for new income sources to strengthen the overall fundraising mix. The role is responsible for delivering circa £250,000 through existing events, third-party relationships and general donations, and for leading efforts to generate an additional £150,000 of new income per year.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Fundraising Manager is a key member of the Charity’s Management Team, sharing collective responsibility for delivering Beechwood’s mission to support those affected by cancer and for securing the income needed to achieve this.
