We are looking to appoint an in-house Accountant to manage businesses accounts, including overseeing sales and purchase ledger, managing invoices, and preparing VAT returns. You will work directly to the Chief Executive and support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to make informed decisions based on accurate financial data. This will include creating month end reports for the SLT, detailing P&L Reports with added notes, utilisation figures, and other KPI measurements. Responsibilities Core responsibilities will include: Accurate inputting of supplier & consultant invoices Full sales ledger processing for complex consultancy services Managing the invoicing process Credit Control Debtor management Preparation of management accounts Preparation of month-end and year-end accounts Work alongside senior management to monitor performance and costs Preparation of VAT returns Other responsibilities will include: Performance Management: managing, maintaining and updating EiB's bid status tracker (live spreadsheet tracking project progress, results and impact) Maintaining a record of past projects by result, contract value, fees and utilisation Using data to monitor client impact in various parameters including win rates Calculating monthly forecasted chargeable rates based on pipeline and resourcing Supporting the CEO in producing commentary based on P&L statements, interpreting quantitative data and adding contextual factors to summarise monthly financial performance Working closely with the Office Lead, Office Manager and Operations Directors to streamline internal processes from project initiation to project close out. Skills and qualifications Must have robust experience with the Xero accounting package Proven Accounts/Month/Year end experience An advance user of MS Excel Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being followed A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
