Description
The Group FP&A team is part of the FNZ Group Finance function and is responsible for establishing, managing and maintaining financial forecasts across the entire FNZ Group. The successful candidate will assist with all elements of the budgeting and forecasting process including modelling, analysis and reporting along with providing business partnering support to the wider business. The role will report directly to the Senior Group FP&A Manager and will require strong technical ability, good communication skills and a commitment to high quality work.
Specific Role Responsibilities
1. Assisting with the Group forecasting process, including regular update cycles and communications with the wider business
2. Assisting with consolidating regional inputs into C-suite management and stakeholder reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
3. Preparing and enhancing ad-hoc reports or analysis to assist with management decision making
4. Assisting with the provision of business partnering support to the wider business, including to relevant budget holders and senior management
5. Assisting with maintaining various Excel forecast models and managing data inputs from relevant financial systems and regional reports
6. Analysing monthly ledger data to identify variances to forecast and to highlight any potential risks or opportunities
7. Serving as a point of contact for general budget/forecast enquiries from the wider business
8. Performing ad hoc analysis for strategic projects or funding workstreams such as long-term planning, stakeholder Q&A and/or stress casing
This role is not in scope for activities which have a direct or indirect impact on CASS processing which takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZ’s clients. There is a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ.
Essential Experience required
9. Experience of excel modelling and use of advanced functions is essential; PowerQuery, XLOOKUP, GroupBy, PivotBy
10. Experience of being involved in the delivery of planning and forecasting processes
11. Fully qualified accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA)
12. Evidencing commercial experience using planning and reporting tools
13. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights
14. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business
15. Experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving business requirements
16. Ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines
17. Commercial outlook, willing to use initiative and think laterally to get things done
Desirable Experience required
18. Evidencing commercial experience using the following tools; PowerBI, Qlik, Anaplan
