Our client is a manufacturer of automated visual inspection machinery. Due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Engineer.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the build, testing, installation, and commissioning of automated visual inspection equipment. Build and test work will be undertaken at our client's workshop near Leicester, and installation and commissioning will involve some worldwide travel.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Building bespoke control panels, cabinets, and wiring harnesses
2. Assembling electronic components
3. Testing control panels and equipment before dispatch
4. On-site equipment installation, commissioning, and some repair work
5. Providing online/telephone technical support as required
Candidate
You should be an experienced electrical engineer with excellent control panel building skills. You must have 18th edition wiring regulations certification and ideally an NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering.
Experience in assembling electronic components, building personal computers, or electrical circuit design would be advantageous. You must be prepared to undertake worldwide travel, potentially up to two weeks at a time, with an estimated one-third of your time spent in the field and overseas.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
