Position: Registered Manager – Children’s Home- Maternity Contract 12 Months
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Hours: 09:00-17:00 / 40 hours per week
Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 depending on experience

ARC Recruitment are working closely with an exceptional client who are seeking an inspiring Registered Manager to lead their care team within one of their Children's Home in Sheringhan, Norfolk.
Our client is a 4 bedded home caring for children aged 9+ with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
As the Registered manager you will be responsible for the operational management of the home. Leading the care team to deliver high-quality care to the children within the home.
You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership of staff providing the best outcomes for children. You will contribute to the development of plans and strategies for children’s services both locally and countywide, working corporately with other departments and agencies. Be compliant with Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards, 2015 to ensure Home is Ofsted compliant. Ensuring the home is adhering to all organisational policies and procedures. Act as the designated Safeguarding Lead within the home and part of the wider Safeguarding management team within the organisation.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the Operations Manager to ensure the effective running of the home. You will be responsible for maintaining high occupancy levels, leading on recruitment and retention planning for the staff team and the quality improvement plans for the home. Using analytical processes to review the effectiveness and quality of care to drive improvements and developments within the home and wider service.
The overall management of the home requires a manager who is friendly and approachable whilst being driven and highly organised.
Ideally our client is looking for candidates who are experienced Registered Managers who have a proven track record in delivering good outcomes for children, or experienced Deputy Managers looking for the next step in their career.
The ideal applicant will:
Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, Health and Social Care, Children and young people services. (or be working towards the qualification)
Have 2 or more years’ experience working within a residential children's home setting in a supervisory role.
Have a good working knowledge and understanding of legislation that underpins the running of a children’s home.
Have experience in managing Ofsted compliance leading on inspections.
Understand effective budget management.
Work as part of an On-call System.
Have Excellent People Management skills, Developing positive working relationships with both internal and external professionals.
Be capable of managing information, evaluating, monitoring and reporting.
Be self-motivated and organised.
