Graduate Teaching Assistant Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) Pay: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience) Are you a recent graduate looking to build experience in education? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ graded secondary school in Warrington, to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. The ideal candidate will: Be a recent or soon-to-be graduate (any discipline considered) Have experience working with young people aged 11–16 (e.g. mentoring, coaching, tutoring, youth work) Be enthusiastic, reliable, and confident in building relationships with pupils and staff Be committed to full-time hours during term time (8:30am – 3:30pm) Be open to a mix of responsibilities including general classroom support, small group interventions, and occasional cover supervision Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils in class and during interventions Helping students access the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons Leading 1:1 and small group academic or pastoral sessions Covering lessons with pre-set work, when required Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing This is a temporary role initially, with the potential to transition into a permanent post or a salaried teacher training opportunity for the right candidate.
