About the RoleHays Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Blackpool and the surrounding areas to recruit Cover Supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience and take their first steps into a career in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work. This role is ideal for those who are confident, organised, and passionate about working with young people.

1. Graduates considering a career in teaching
2. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain classroom experience before the new academic year
3. Individuals with experience in:
4. Youth work
5. Coaching or mentoring
6. Support roles within schools or similar environments
Key Responsibilities
7. Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
8. Manage classroom behaviour effectively
9. Support students inpleting set work
10. Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
11. Provide feedback to teaching staff following the lesson
Requirements
12. Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, or similar)
13. Strongmunication and behaviour management skills
14. Confidence-leading groups of students aged 11–16
15. A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
16. Right to work in the UK
17. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
