Overview
An opportunity has arisen within the Medical HR Department for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, well‑organised individual who wishes to develop their skills in the provision of a comprehensive HR service.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Medical HR Managers to support resident doctors across the trust and associated host organisations.
* Provide a recruitment and selection service for doctors and dentists, including preparation of advertisements, job descriptions, person specifications and advice on Trust policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
* Prepare appointment letters, payroll documentation and contracts of employment for new starters, changes to employee details and for termination of employment matters.
* Administer the Lead Employer arrangement and liaise with Training Programme Directors to organise training rotations; participate in pre‑recruitment processes regarding approvals, funding and organisational issues.
* Assist the Medical HR Manager in promoting good industrial relations within the Trust by developing working relationships with staff associations and trade unions.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated commitment, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Diplomatic and tactful approach when liaising with medical staff at all levels and outside agencies.
* Knowledge of Local/National Terms and Conditions of Service and current legislation.
