Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive credit assessments for asset finance applications, analysing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation. Evaluate the risk profile of each applicant by performing detailed risk analysis and quantitative evaluation to determine creditworthiness. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to facilitate favourable yet responsible lending decisions. Prepare detailed credit reports summarising findings, including recommendations for approval or decline of applications. Collaborate with sales teams and clients to clarify financial information and resolve any discrepancies or concerns. Monitor existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks or early warning signs requiring action. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial services and asset financing. Requirements Proven experience in credit underwriting within financial services, banking, or related sectors. Strong skills in negotiation, quantitative analysis, risk assessment, and financial evaluation. Solid understanding of accounting principles, banking operations, and financial statement analysis. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple applications efficiently under tight deadlines. Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation. Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related fields are preferred but not essential. Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with specialised credit underwriting software is advantageous.
