You will support District and Area Estates Maintenance Managers within the Day-to-Day Repairs and Void Teams as well as contribute to wider strategic goals within service delivery.

About the role

You will be responsible for a £4m - £8m per annum contract, managing the Procured Contractor that carries out repairs and refurbishment to Southampton City Council housing properties, ensuring quality work is completed on time, within budget, and to KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

You will directly manage a Clerk of Works as well as the contract. You should understand and be able to interpret the policies and procedures underpinning service delivery within Housing Operations.

Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude are essential as you’ll be our ambassador when visiting customers’ homes to carry out quality control checks. You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues daily, so communication and customer focus are essential. Organizational, customer service and time management skills are key.
