New Directions Education is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to work in secondary schools across Harrogate. The Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at KS5 depending on the school. Your responsibilities will include:
-Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
-Creating a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
-Promoting strong behaviour for learning and maintaining high expectations
-Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
-Adapting teaching methods to support learners of all abilities
-Working collaboratively with subject departments and wider school staff
We are looking for candidates who:
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
*Have strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
*Are confident managing classroom behaviour
*Are passionate about Science and education
*Are adaptable, reliable, and committed to high standards of teaching
