Orka Financial is currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their clients established finance team, a leading Manufacturing business based in Basingstoke. This is a hands-on role, ideal for an individual who enjoys a broad range of duties and is confident liaising at all levels across the business, building good customer relations. The Finance Assistant will be supporting the day-to-day finance transactions including Sales Leger and Credit Control duties. This role would suit an individual currently studying towards AAT. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies Processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, and handling supplier queries Assist with implementing new finance processes Raising sales invoices, credit control, and allocating payments Credit control duties Bank reconciliations (Multi currencies) Assist with month-end processes, including journal postings and reconciliations Weekly reporting of sales orders Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed Support the wider finance with ad hoc finance tasks and reporting Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a similar Finance Assistant role Strong understanding of finance processes Excellent attention to detail Proficient in bank reconciliations and general ledger work Experience using accounting software Intermediate Excel skills Qualifications: Studying towards or fully qualified in AAT (or equivalent) For further information please contact alison@orkafinnacial.com or call 07708 912000
