About the role Do you want to make a real difference to the quality of care and support provided to older people across Lancashire? We are looking for a Service Officer to support the delivery, quality and performance of Older People Services. You will work alongside management teams to help ensure services are safe, effective, compassionate and person‑centred. This is a varied role with opportunities to build your skills in quality monitoring, performance reporting and service improvement - helping teams to maintain high standards and improve outcomes for people who use our services. What you’ll be doing In this role, you will: Carry out and support quality and performance activity across Older People Services, including audits, monitoring, quality assurance checks and data analysis Support services to meet contractual, policy and regulatory requirements, helping to evidence good practice and address any gaps Collate information, produce reports and maintain evidence packs to support service oversight, assurance visits and improvement planning Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues to identify learning, share themes and support continuous improvement activity Support the Senior Operations Manager with service activity, projects and liaison with internal and external stakeholders as required Your work will support our vision to be the best quality service, safely supporting older people with kindness, dignity, care and compassion to live their life, their way. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who: Has experience of working in a service support, quality, performance or operational role Is well organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities Can analyse information and present it clearly to support decision‑making Communicates confidently and professionally with a wide range of people Demonstrates a commitment to dignity, respect, equality and person‑centred practice You don’t need to have worked in social care previously, but an understanding of quality, governance or service improvement would be an advantage.
