Pay Rate: New graduate nurses start at £18.27 per hour, rising to £19.30 after one year of post‑qualification experience.
About the Role
* Deliver and oversee the highest possible standards of person‑centred care — continually assessing residents' needs and wishes and enhancing their quality of life.
* Champion independence and personal choice; develop, review and update care plans to meet changing physical, social and psychological needs.
* Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift, ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered in accordance with company policies and legislation.
* Build and market the positive reputation of the business; communicate warmly and professionally with all visitors, including family, friends and external stakeholders.
* Ensure all elements of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge.
* Participate in inspection visits from RQIA, Trusts and CCGs, ensuring your team is ready.
* Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines, proactively managing risks and reporting issues.
* Maintain rigorous monitoring and recording practices; document all matters relating to residents and staff efficiently and thoroughly.
* Promote a cohesive team approach and support staff to deliver the highest quality care.
* Support, guide, teach and mentor others in line with the NMC Code.
* Lead by example, attend relevant meetings, develop yourself through continual professional development and meet re‑validation requirements.
* Assist the Home Manager in achieving key targets and maintain smooth, efficient shift operations.
What You Will Need
Required Criteria
* NMC Registered Nurse.
* Numerate and literate, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient with IT and communication systems required for the role.
* Ability to develop internal and external business relationships based on mutual respect and professionalism.
* Experience working under pressure while motivating the team.
Desired Criteria
* Experience delivering nursing care within the elderly health care sector.
* People‑management experience.
* Experience participating in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit.
