About the Role As a Café and Events Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of busy café and events operations across Evolve sites. You’ll be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting food preparation, service delivery, and maintaining high standards of health and safety. Alongside operational duties, you will support the development of volunteers through training and supervision, contributing to a positive and inclusive working environment. This is a varied and hands-on role requiring strong organisation, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Key Duties Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience Prepare and serve a range of food and hot/cold drinks Operate the till, handle payments, and maintain accurate records Monitor, manage, and order stock as required Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food hygiene and safety standards Support the coordination and delivery of catering for events and bookings Liaise with internal teams regarding bookings and operations Produce sales reports and maintain accurate financial and booking records Assist with rotas and day-to-day staffing across sites Train, support, and supervise volunteers, including regular check-ins Implement menu updates and contribute ideas to improve sales and service Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures About You We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about hospitality. You’ll be a strong communicator who can work both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to stay organised in a busy environment. You will ideally have: Experience in a café, hospitality, or customer-facing role Strong customer service and communication skills Cash handling and/or supervisory experience The ability to multitask and use initiative An understanding of stock control and basic financial processes A positive attitude and willingness to learn Good timekeeping and a professional approach Experience supporting or working with young people or individuals with additional needs would be an advantage, but not essential.
