Salary: P14-18(£32,454 - £34,416 FTE) (£27,759 - £29,437 pro rata) Dependent on Experience Contract: Fixed (Maternity Cover)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Support Worker to join a vibrant and inclusive all-boys secondary school in the heart of Barnet. This vital role supports our vision for inclusion and well-being across the school, focusing on delivering high-quality interventions for some of our most vulnerable students.

Qualifications
* Level 3 Diplomain Youth Work, Counselling, or similar (or equivalent experience)
* Safeguarding training(essential)
Experience
* 1:1 mentoringof vulnerable students (SEMH/SEND)
* Behaviour managementusing restorative approaches
* Attendance improvementstrategies and parent liaison
* Crisis interventionfor safeguarding concerns
* Active listeningto build trust with disengaged pupils
* Data trackingfor monitoring welfare/attendance
* Collaborationwith SENCOs, social workers, and external agencies
* Workshop deliveryon topics like bullying/online safety
Personal Qualities
* Empathetic resiliencein high-pressure situations
* Non-judgmental attitudetowards diverse backgrounds
* Initiativeto create tailored support plans
