Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working with a key local authority in the London area to recruit a Server Team Leader into their organisation for an immediate start – with interviews taking place week commencing Monday 7 April 2025.
The ideal candidate will benefit from a salary of £550 per day (inside IR35), and will initially be expected to work in the office 2 days a week, with flexibility once in position.
Key responsibilities of the Server Team Leader include:
* Accountability for the day-to-day operational management of the Council's infrastructure, including installing, administering, and optimising mainly Azure cloud-based Microsoft Windows servers and related components to ensure high performance.
* Ensure timely patching and upgrades.
* Manage multiple activities with demanding deadlines, making decisions that impact service delivery.
* Maintain an inventory of server locations, connections, and support relationships across all operational sites of Enfield council.
* Manage and mentor the Server team, ensuring seamless operations and project continuity. Familiarity with ServiceNow will aid in work allocation and service request management.
* Keep team skills current with technological changes and infrastructure investments.
The successful individual will quickly manage critical tasks, contribute to ongoing projects, and support a team of 3 through server maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure optimisation.
* Expertise in on-premises technologies such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
* Experience with MS Azure, MS Office 365, MS Active Directory, MS Windows Server.
* Familiarity with ServiceNow.
The candidate should demonstrate innovative thinking, quick decision-making, and the ability to ensure infrastructure security against cyber threats.
