Bringing it to the role.
In this role you’ll lead your team to design and deliver abrand wide internal communications strategy, oversee engagement and experienceprojects and our award-winning events calendar. You and your team will be theinternal voice of our brand, building brand love and loyalty amongst our 30,000+employees, keeping them connected to the brand, engaged, and entertainedthrough creative content, witty conversation and most likely…GIFs. You’ll alsotap into our incredible employees to unlock powerful story-tellingopportunities and support the wider employer brand strategy activations.Alongside this, you’ll lead the way on an exciting events calendar, includingowning the end-to-end organisation and delivery of our award-winning annual RGMFest Conference with 1,500+ attendees!
This is a uniqueopportunity within a growing team at one of the largest, best-loved brands inthe UK. The role offers immediate exposure to all areas of the business as youwork collaboratively with key stakeholders across the brand and support andadvise our executive leaders on all things comms.
What you’ll do
1. As part of the People Experience team, you’llcreate, and execute our brand wide internal communications, engagement, andevents strategy, including creating an effective channel strategy that deliversthe right information, to the right audiences, through the right channels, atthe right time
2. You’ll also work closely with cross functionaldepartments, global communications partners, franchise partners and creativeagencies to source and develop brand news and stories and best practice fromacross the organisation.
3. We love data – you’ll analyse the effectivenessof channels to improve employee communications and provide insights on the mosteffective ways to reach employees.
4. As an ever-evolving brand, withcross-functional working in its DNA, you’ll be delivering an annual calendar ofevents, as well as ad hoc proactive and reactive organisational announcements.
5. We’re United By The Bucket – and our heritage:management of internal campaigns for initiatives such as International Women’sDay, Pride, Mental Health Awareness Week in partnership with our Communities ofBelonging and aligned with the Equity, Inclusion and Belonging roadmap will becritical to success.
6. Sharing is caring, and ensuring the influenceof the communications and events team is felt across the brand will be criticalto ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality of content across everytouchpoint, and in every corporate function.
7. A key part of the role will be to oversee themanagement of our internal communication channels and platforms, includingemail, newsletters, monthly townhall meetings, digital screens and internalsocial media ensuring content is relevant, easy to engage with and distinctive.
8. Alongsidethis, you’ll lead strategic internal engagement projects, including the scopingand launch of an internal comms and engagement platform in partnership withother key cross functional stakeholders.
9. As leaders in the corporate events space,you’ll be leading the way and heroing our culture with award-winning eventsfrom inception to delivery, managing senior stakeholders, budgets, projectteams and agency partners.

EXPERIENCE:
19. Previous experience leading the internal communications, PR or social media team.
20. Demonstrable experience co-ordinating and delivering large scale events is critical.
21. Demonstrable understanding of delivering large campaigns, transformational programmes and employee experience activities to large audiences.
22. Proven competence to think at both a strategic and tactical level, demonstrated through the ability to formulate a strategy founded on data and analytics.
23. First class, versatile copywriting skills. The successful candidate will be able to adapt instantly to the KFC tone of voice or flex dependent on executive voice, with flawless grammar, spelling and punctuation.
24. Creativity and imagination, but with a sharp eye for detail, ability to prioritise, work collaboratively, respond to feedback, see the bigger picture and stay calm under pressure.
25. Good organisational skills and time management.
26. Strong ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate constructively with stakeholders across all areas of the organisation.
27. Ability to investigate, analyse and contextualize complex issues, identify key points to be addressed and develop effective, practical, and simple plans to resolve problems.
28. Ability to multitask leading multiple different projects and work under pressure, with changing priorities, tight deadlines and budgets.
29. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint
