We are currently seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager for our UK Grocery sector, a role that is crucial in driving growth and commercial success within this key channel.
As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing strategic relationships with major grocery retailers. You will lead commercial negotiations, drive account performance, and implement category strategies to maximise profitability and market share. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies for key grocery accounts.
* Manage budget planning and pricing strategies to optimise revenue and profitability.
* Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitor benchmarking to inform account strategies.
* Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders within grocery accounts.
* Collaborate with the Marketing and Supply Chain teams to align promotional activities with strategic goals.
* Monitor account performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms.
Requirements
* Min 10 years experience in a commercial management role within the grocery or FMCG industry.
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of managing complex accounts successfully.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
* Proficient in financial analysis, budget management, and forecasting.
* Strong leadership abilities with a focus on driving team performance and collaboration.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; post-graduate qualifications would be advantageous.
