We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented HR Generalist, ideally a recent graduate, looking to develop their career within a fast‑paced and supportive HR environment. This role provides broad exposure across the full HR lifecycle and the opportunity to work closely with HR Managers and stakeholders across our UK and European sites.
Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, this is a full‑time role and will be located at our Manufacturing site based in Caldicot, South Wales. Due to the nature of the role and the need to support a Manufacturing environment, the role will be site based.
About The Role
As an HR Generalist, you will support day‑to‑day HR operations while contributing to a variety of people‑focused initiatives. Your responsibilities will span recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, absence management, and HR system administration. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate employee data, delivering high‑quality HR support, and helping maintain a positive employee experience throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, update, and audit employee records in Workday; prepare routine and ad‑hoc HR metrics and reports.
* Support absence management processes, including long‑term sickness and family leave.
* Manage and track right‑to‑work documentation in line with legislation.
* Respond to queries regarding benefits, employee information, and compensation.
* Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
* Assist HR Managers with employee relations activities, including data gathering, investigations, and report preparation.
* Support recruitment for permanent, graduate, and temporary roles, including screening and interviews.
* Prepare HR documentation such as offer letters, leaver letters, and meeting invitations.
* Deliver onboarding and induction sessions for new starters and coordinate the leaver process.
* Contribute to HR projects and build strong working relationships across the organisation.
* The successful candidate will have the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Recent graduate with a degree in HR or a business‑related field.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing high‑volume work.
* Self‑motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and progress.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Sound understanding of employment legislation.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
