The Role
As Head of Programme Management, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering and developing cutting-edge Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Autonomous Systems capabilities. This is a strategic leadership role that will shape the future of our defence offerings, supporting a wide range of customers across government and industry. You’ll be instrumental in driving innovation, growing our capability, and leading a high-performing team to deliver multi-million-pound projects.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
1. Leading ISR and Autonomy activities across Sense and Connect and Mission Systems.
2. Driving strategic campaigns and injecting innovative solutions to meet customer challenges.
3. Building collaborative relationships with internal teams, customers, and industry partners.
4. Harnessing talent across organisations to deliver impactful outcomes.
5. Guiding your team through successful contract delivery and capability growth.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides flexible hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Head of Programme Management
6. Proven leadership in programme and business delivery within Defence or Partners Across Government (PAG).
7. Strong understanding of Autonomy and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance environments and customer needs.
8. Experience working across business units and global delivery teams.
9. Commercial acumen in complex project environments, including forecasting and risk management.
10. A track record of developing stakeholder relationships and driving business growth.
Qualifications for the Head of Programme Management
11. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant technical or management discipline.
12. Chartered membership (or working towards) of a professional institute.
13. Recognised business/project management qualifications (e.g. APM).
14. Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance or willingness to obtain.
15. Full passport and driving licence.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
