Masterplanning Manager
London, Paris or Zurich
This is a full-time assignment. The successful candidate will be leading the design, implementation and maintenance of the masterplanning capability at AXA XL, including management of interdependencies.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
Masterplanning design
1. Develop, drive and facilitate implementation of consistent roadmap and common reporting which provides visibility into main Programs / Projects deliveries for Business- and Functional leaders, operational Project Teams as well as Senior Management.
2. Make sure that existing roadmapping capabilities- and stakeholders are leveraged, built out and enriched to a broader scope across AXA XL.
3. Enable main Programs / Projects at AXA XL to dynamically visualize the implementation of the various initiatives over time through an integrated masterplanning tool and provide insights on planned- vs actual delivery of the respective milestones.
4. Very closely work with other Project Portfolio Management stakeholders as well as technical teams to ensure an efficient development and maintenance of the masterplanning capability and its visualization.
Masterplanning implementation
5. Enforce that initiatives are proactively tracked by working with Program- / Project Managers as well as Initiative Owners to build and update roadmaps as needed, tracking progress towards milestones.
6. Ensure that appropriate governance is in place and enforced so that timeliness and quality of updates lead to permanently up to date and complete roadmaps. Communicate within main Programs / Projects rationale for masterplanning requirements and which inputs are necessary by when to make sure the roadmaps provide relevant insights.
7. Align with Project Portfolio Management stakeholders (including Large Program Support) that masterplanning activities are seamlessly embedded in wider governance framework and specifically resourcing impacts are proactively identified ( Ops & Tech and Business).
8. Make sure that Business- and Functional leaders as well as operational Project Teams use the masterplanning to drive insights and implementation related decision making. Also make sure that change management impacts are anticipated, and remediation actions proposed.
Interdependencies management
9. Work together with the Business- and Functional leaders, Program- / Project managers as well as Initiative Owners to anticipate and identify interdependencies, and define processes to address- & effectively manage these.
10. Build mitigation plans and scenarios on interdependencies with the operational teams concerned and identify the impacts for each scenario with an impartial and holistic analysis.
11. Propose the mitigation plan to the Senior Management (Projects Board) to drive a priority /arbitration decision.
12. Inform all operational teams about the decision and adapt the masterplanning accordingly.
Benefits tracking
13. Closely work with stakeholders responsible for benefits tracking and link committed benefits to respective milestones.
14. Support benefits tracking activities by providing masterplanning insights on planned- vs actual delivery of milestones and feed this information back into the benefits tracking activity.
Depending on the evolution- and staffing requirements of the masterplanning function, the Senior Masterplanner might be asked to supervise a small team of Enterprise Shares Services colleagues in a nearshore location to support masterplanning and management of interdependencies at AXA XL.
You will report to the Head of AXA XL Portfolio Management.

15. Master’s level with effective analytical and planning skills.
16. Extensive experience in consulting and/or project management, ideally in (commercial) insurance.
17. Work independently / ownership of his / her work.
18. Strong project management skills with focus on execution delivery.
19. Experience in project portfolio management, agile at scale / SAFE and lean portfolio management.
20. Time management and organization skills.
21. Capacity to interact inside the team and with stakeholders from various seniority levels.
22. Perfectly fluent in English (written & spoken).
23. Highly motivated to work within AXA XL and become part of a dynamic team.
24. Rigorous, proactive and eager to work in highly complex environment.
25. Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint.
26. Result and execution orientated.
27. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
28. Be highly adaptable, due to the international environment as well as to evolving missions.
29. Experience with Power BI and Planview of advantage.
